22nd September will be 2 days after what would have been Stevie’s 57th birthday.
Born on September 20th 1966, a child of the 60s & 70s. Steve first hand was able to see cultures come, go and develop throughout the 80s & 90s. The artist known as Stevie Hyper D, would be at the very inception of jungle and drum & bass music.
Many would argue that the golden era of this music was 1993-1998. With 2023 being the year that we commemorate the 25th anniversary of Stevie’s passing. We are going to celebrate his life and influence with a tribute on Uncle Dugs #RCFF show, featuring a handful of carefully selected guests who we as a team feel help carry this special legacy into the modern day.
We will also give you some insights into our upcoming feature documentary on Stevie, “…The Hidden Influence”. Where we will give you a behind the scenes look at that project and how that ties into the present day successes of modern dance music and jungle drum & bass culture.
